Culture, Family
& Independence

We are Elah Yunupingu and Barbara Wanambi. We been dreaming of starting our own business to show our five kids and other Yolŋu mob they can do it too. We want to show them they don't have to work for Balanda art galleries or art centre managers.

We want to be able to do what we love and make sure our family and people are thriving. We want to talk about our culture and language and traditions passed down to us from our ancestors and share our stories with people all over the world.

When I see the wood, I already know what it wants to become. The story is already inside — I just bring it out.

What We Stand For

Expression + Protection

We pour our culture, our stories and our language into every piece we make. This business lets us do that on our own terms — keeping our family strong and setting our kids up for generations to come.

Paving the Way

We want other Yolŋu people to see that it's possible — to build an independent business, stand on their own two feet, and chase their own dreams. We want to be a beacon for Yolŋu people with dreams of their own.

Sharing Yolŋu Culture

Our art carries stories that have been passed down since the beginning. When someone takes one of our pieces home, that story travels with them — connecting our world with theirs.
